"Good morning. We are in North Carolina, in the freezing cold rain. But at least we are in NC. On our way yesterday the tress were really interesting and huge."

We are still on the right path. Only 3.1 miles to North Carolina.
Higher elevation = ice and cold.
They have mile markes in NC! Bly Gap was deserted, so we continued for another three miles until we reached a shelter. What a long day. It was a cold and rainy night.
In the morning the weather was still lousy, but we got a couple of good views. Sunny days are coming. Into the mist. It looks like a Lord of the Rings mystical place.
After yesterday, we made today a short day, reaching Deep Gap. I'm having a tough time with the weather. Love you guys. Have a great day.
